Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice found herself in the position of apologizing to all three major Presidential candidates this week after contract workers illegally accessed their passport files. During her phone call to each of the candidates, Rice advised that the State Department was investigating the breaches to find out how they occurred, and apologized for the intrusions.
